Children's day and its relevance in today's world

Image
Children's Day is celebrated globally to honor and promote the well-being of children. The idea of a day dedicated to children emerged from Universal Children's Day, which was established by the United Nations in 1954. However, many countries, including India, celebrate Children's Day on different dates. In India, Children's Day is celebrated on November 14th each year, coinciding with the birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, fondly known as "Chacha Nehru" or Uncle Nehru. Nehru was passionate about the welfare and education of children, and his love for them is remembered and celebrated on this day. Relevance in Today's World: Education and Awareness: Children's Day serves as a reminder of the importance of education in shaping the future of a nation. Tottenham vs Chelsea : An Outrageous game in the History of Premier League

Fig: A scenario from last night's match of Tottenham vs Chelsea On 6th November Monday night, Tottenham and Chelsea played one of the craziest matches in the history of the Premier League.  The Blues, led by Mauricio Pochettino won three points on their return to Tottenham as they came back from behind to win the game by 4-1 in North London. This doesn't tell all the craziness that happened in the match which includes no less than 10 cards dished out and the host team reduced to nine men. Chelsea tried to get on the board but both of their goal efforts had been disallowed. At l...

It still accounts for 28% of the world's GDP, even though it has been invaded, plundered, and looted by many people like Mahmud of Ghazni (who invaded India 17 times), Taimur (Ruler of Samarkand) in the late 13th century, etc. But the people of India always find a way to recover from all these events as we have a very robust economy and our products are desired by everyone around the world.  But the plunders done by the Europeans, especially the Bri...

Image
Mr. Narayan Murthy (Co-Founder of Infosys) said that there should be a 70-hour work culture per week for working professionals and youngsters in India. He said, "India's work productivity is one of the lowest in the world. For nation-building, Youngsters should want to work 70-hour a week. This is what Germans and Japanese did after the Second World War". Now, this has created a raging debate around the country. Some of the businessmen like Sajjan Jindal (Chairman and Managing Director of JSW Group of Companies) supported Mr. Murthy's remark. "It's not about burnout; it's about dedication". He also said that a "5-day work culture is not what a rapidly-developing nation such as India needs. But there are many other businessmen like Ashneer Grover who said "Quality time over the number of hours matters".  I have asked my friends, colleagues, and other working professionals about their views on 70-hour-a-week work. Many of them said th...
